Favorite Banana Bread Recipe

This is our family favorite banana bread recipe.   Enjoy!
Ingredients
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar*
  • 3 large ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup vegetable oil*
  • 2 eggs or 1/2 cup egg substitute
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Spray or grease a bread loaf pan (9x5x3) and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together (or you may mix the wet and dry ingredients separately) and mix until all ingredients are well mixed.
  4. Pour into prepared bread pan and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a knife inserted in center of bread comes out clean.
  5. Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes.  Slice bread and serve with fresh fruit.
  6. Yield: 1 bread loaf
  7. *For a moist bread, use 3/4 cup sugar and 3/4 cup oil.
