Mason Jar Breakfasts

Breakfast is significant since it is the first opportunity of the day to nourish and fuel your body with good quality nutrition. Starting your day with delicious and nutritious foods sets you up for a day full of greatness. These mason jar breakfasts are proof that a healthy breakfast can also be quick and delicious. Try out some of these recipes and see your yourself:

1)    Blueberry Chia Seed Pudding:

This breakfast takes just a minute to prepare the night before, and it is a great source of fiber, protein, and healthy fat! Chia seeds are packed with plant-based omega-3 fats and protein. Overnight, the chia seeds will absorb the liquid and the morning product will be thick like pudding.

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons chia seeds

1 cup unsweetened soy milk

½ tablespoon honey or maple syrup A handful of blueberries

Directions:

  1. Add chia seeds into a mason jar.
  2. Pour in soy milk and sweetener of choice and shake or stir to combine.
  3. Top it with a lid and store in the refrigerator to be enjoyed in the morning!
  4. The next day, add in your blueberries or other toppings such as granola!

2)  Strawberry Overnight Oatmeal with Almond Butter Drizzle

This type of recipe has gained popularity in recent years for good reason! Overnight oats are great since they are incredibly customizable, fit for a breakfast that never gets old. Add or substitute your favorite toppings to make it your own. In the morning, this breakfast can be warmed in the microwave or enjoyed cold!

Ingredients:

½ cup dry oats

1 cup soy milk or milk of choice

1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds (optional)

5 strawberries, sliced

  • 1 tablespoon almond butter

Directions:

  1. Add oats and chia seeds into a mason jar.
  2. Pour in soy milk and stir to combine.
  3. Let sit overnight in the refrigerator, and top with fresh strawberries or a drizzle of almond butter in the morning!

3)  Mason Jar Florentine Scramble

This recipe is a quick and easy way to enjoy scrambled eggs when you are on the go!

Ingredients:

2 eggs

A small handful of spinach

3 tablespoons tomatoes, chopped

3 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

  1. Grease your mason jar with cooking spray.
  2. Crack two eggs into the jar and whisk.
  3. Add the spinach, tomato, and mozzarella, and mix until well combined.
  4. Microwave for about 3 ½ minutes or until cooked to your liking. Check on it at each minute as some microwaves cook faster than others.
